I finished reading this book in 2 days!

During this short holiday, I decided to borrow a novel from library. It's not really my initiative. Actually our English teacher asked us to read one novel during the holiday and we are supposed to write a review. At first I wanted to choose a light story with very few pages. However, I changed my mind. I snatched 'The Hobbit' from the shelf and I read it. At the moment, I thought the book will be interesting. I had read the story in my native language before, but I forgot how the story goes..

The moment I opened the book... I couldn't stand the small fonts and many pages that have to be done. I forced myself to read it and yes, I'm enchanted by it! Ok, roughly, the story goes like this.

Once upon a time...
There is a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins. He likes to stay in his home (they call it as 'hobbit hole'). One day, some dwarfs and a wizard came to his house and compelled him to search for the treasures guided by the dragon. The wizard is Gandalf and the dwarfs are (I hope I remember their names) Thorin, Fili, Kili, Balin, Bombur, Oin, Gloin, etc. (There are 14 dwarfs, I suppose). Initially Bilbo refused their invitation, but finally he went with them. They faced many kinds of creatures in their journey, from trolls to goblins.

I find this novel highly enchanting because it's the first time in my life that I read 200++ pages in 48 hours. ^^ Besides, Bilbo Baggins is cool! He can communicate with various kinds of creatures, even with the dragon himself. In other words, I envy his socialising skill. (Nowadays, people only use email or sms or facebook and as a result, their speaking skills are deteriorating. One good example is myself -.-).

Some facts about The Hobbit: J.R.R Tolkien composed this story to his own children, so the language is comprehensible and it is not boring (at all). In the version that I read, it is said that the jacket cover was designed by J.R.R Tolkien himself.

Holiday is coming and so as the homework.

Yeah, finally we can have our holiday after the hectic days at school. This coming holiday will be a one week holiday. Despite this short holiday, much homework are waiting to be done. I wonder if I can call this a break.

Actually, we are supposed to use this time to study for the final year exam but I haven't done so, hehe. My teacher even gave me a template containing a schedule for revision so that I can manage my time. I will study soon. Now I want to enjoy my time first. :)

So far I have 'succesfully' wasted three days of my holiday. The first two days I joined a camp. It was quite interesting and boring at the same time. Then, the third day I didn't do anything. Hmm, actually I drew a picture and it turned out to be like this..
Korean drummers

I copied this from a book about Korea. (I cannot draw the face. If I draw the face I will spoil the whole thing)

What should I do during this holiday? (apart from studying)...
